Arcane tells the story of two orphaned young sisters who grow up and get into trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and although it takes you straight into this fictional world, it takes time and care to set up the locations and characters in a commendable show-don’t-tell fashion. Solid character development and world building means it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch without knowing the game. The animation is absolutely excellent.

There is incredible attention to detail

As an anime fan myself, I found the animation in Arcane to be far better than anything I’ve ever seen in an animated series before. It’s clear that no artistic talent or expense was spared to bring the world of Runeterra to life. Great soundtrack, great acting, and a compelling story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and adultery. topics.

So far only the first three episodes have been released and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
